Most patients start with 3–6 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart during active breakouts. This treatment uses light-based energy to reduce inflammation, oil production, and acne-causing bacteria. Best results are seen in mild to moderate inflammatory acne and are often enhanced by combining with a dermatologist-directed routine.

This treatment can be performed on its own or as part of a comprehensive acne regimen. For patients with nodulocystic or scarring acne, prescription medications may be necessary first.

Every consultation will be performed by a board certified surgeon, who will perform your initial treatment. If any follow-up procedure is ever to be performed by a non-surgeon doctor or advanced-practice nurse practitioner, a board-certified surgeon will always be immediately available by phone and able to evaluate your concerns in person within 24 hours.
